Artist Submissions

This is where you discover artists and their music. The Artists’ Submissions section lists every artist with a live campaign on Musosoup and is the starting point for discovering new releases and engaging with artists.

Here you can browse and listen to new music, learn more about artists, like or save submissions, and decide whether you’d like to make an offer. This section acts as your discovery hub and the first step in building relationships with artists on the platform.

SUBMISSIONS TABS

The Artists’ Submissions section is organised into three tabs:

  1. Explore. This tab shows all live artist submissions that you haven’t already saved, made an offer to, or declined. All artists listed here are actively running campaigns and hoping curators like you will connect with their music and make an offer. This is your primary space for discovering new submissions.
  1. Saved. To make an offer, you must first listen to a track and save the submission. The Saved tab displays all submissions you’ve saved but haven’t yet acted on. From here, you can:
      • Listen again
      • Make an offer
      • Decline the submission if it’s not the right fit.

Once you make an offer, the submission is removed from Saved and can be viewed and managed in the Offers & Requests section.

  1. Declined. The Declined tab shows any live submissions you’ve chosen not to engage with. If you change your mind, you can restore a declined submission at any time. Restoring it will return the submission to the main submissions list, where you can decide whether to save it or make an offer.

SUBMISSION CARDS

Each tab displays a list of submission cards. Each card represents a release campaign.

The submission card include:

  • Release artwork
  • Time remaining on the artist’s campaign
  • Artist name
  • Release title
  • Release type (single, EP, album)
  • Release date

You’ll also see icons which indicate:

  • Whether you’ve worked with the artist previously
  • If you’re a part of a team, whether another team member has already made an offer on that submission

These signals help avoid duplicated outreach and provide helpful context at a glance.

Clicking on a submission card opens the submission details pop-up, where you can:

  • Listen to the track
  • Explore the artist’s social links and profiles
  • Read their pitch
  • View images and artwork
  • Like the artist
  • Save the submission (required to make an offer) or decline it if it’s not the right fit at this time

You can open the submission in a separate screen if you prefer, but the submission details pop-up makes it easy to quickly listen to the submission and learn about the artist without leaving the page.

FILTERING AND SORTING SUBMISSIONS

By default, submissions in each tab are ordered by campaigns ending soonest, with older campaigns shown first. You can change the sorting to:

  • Show the most recently added campaigns
  • Highlight artists who have logged in most recently (useful for engaging active artists)

Filters allow you to quickly view submissions by:

  • Genre
  • Region
  • Release type

You can also access quick filters for artists you’ve liked and create and save custom filters, making it fast and easy to rediscover relevant artists.

Offers & Requests

Offers & Requests is the area of Musosoup where you manage all your active work with artists.

Offers & Requests Pages
Offers & Requests Pages

This is where you can view and manage:

  • Offers you have sent to artists
  • Marketplace requests artists have sent to you
  • All active work you have agreed to deliver
  • Completed, declined, and expired offers and requests

Think of this section as your workflow hub. It shows all upcoming activity and coverage you are scheduled to create and publish, helping you manage deadlines, communicate with artists, and ensure everything is completed on time.

OFFERS & REQUESTS TABS

The Offers & Requests page is divided into tabs, each designed to help you focus on a specific stage of your workflow.

Offers & Requests Page Tabs
Offers & Requests Page Tabs
Requests - The Requests tab shows marketplace requests from artists for promotions you have listed.

As soon as an artist makes a request, it appears here with:

  • Artist and release details
  • The promotion bundle requested
  • The date of the request

You can click into a request to:

  • Learn more about the artist and their release
  • Message the artist with any questions
  • Decide whether to accept or decline the request

If you accept a request, it will remain in the Requests tab until the artist completes payment. Once paid, it moves to the Active tab.

Offers - The Offers tab shows all offers you have sent to artists that have not yet been accepted.

Here you can see:

  • The artist and release
  • The bundle or promotion offered
  • The offer expiry date

You can click into an offer to view full details of the offer and message the artist.

If the artist accepts the offer, it moves to the Active tab. If they decline, it moves to the Declined tab. If they do not respond before the expiry date, it moves to the Expired tab.

Active - The Active tab is your most important working view. It shows all offers and requests you have committed to delivering, and represents your current workload.

Each item displays:

  • Artist and release information
  • The agreed promotion or bundle
  • The ETA date, which is the delivery deadline

By default, items are sorted by the nearest ETA date. This allows you to quickly see what needs to be completed next and plan your time effectively across the coming days.

Completed - The Completed tab shows all work you have finished.

An item is marked as completed when:

  • You submit completion links for written or social content
  • A track is added to a playlist for playlist placements

Here you can:

  • Review completed offers and requests
  • See completion dates
  • Click through to view full details

You can also continue messaging with artists for a period after completion if needed.

Declined - The Declined tab shows offers that artists have declined and marketplace requests that you have declined.

For declined artist requests, you can open the request details and delete the request, which allows the artist to submit another request to you in the future if appropriate.

Expired - The expired tab shows offers that were not accepted or declined.

The Expired tab shows:

  • Offers you sent that were not accepted or declined before their expiry date
  • Requests you accepted where the artist did not complete payment in time

Expiry dates help keep your workflow clean and ensure you are only tracking active, actionable work.

SORTING AND FILTERING OFFERS & REQUESTS

Each tab includes sorting and filtering options to help you focus on what matters most.

For example:

  • The Active tab defaults to sorting by nearest ETA date so you can prioritise upcoming deadlines
  • You can filter by included promos or free alternatives
  • You can filter by release date, price range, expected publication date, or whether the artist accepted a paid or free option

These tools help you manage your workload logically and avoid missing deadlines.

MESSAGES

The Messages section brings together all communication across offers and requests.

From here, you can:

  • View all incoming messages in one place
  • Respond quickly to artists
  • Ensure no communication is missed

This makes it easy to stay on top of conversations without clicking into each individual offer or request.

LIST VIEW AND TILE VIEW

You can choose how you view items in each tab.

Tile View

By default, items are shown in list view, which is ideal for managing deadlines and large volumes of work. If you prefer a more visual layout, you can switch to tile view using the tile icon.

Your chosen view applies across tabs and can be changed at any time.

MANAGING YOUR WORKFLOW

The Offers & Requests section will quickly become your main workspace on Musosoup and is likely where you spend most of your time on the platform.

It is designed to give you clarity, structure, and control over your workflow, helping you manage artist relationships and deliver work efficiently and professionally.

We are continually improving this area of the platform. If you have ideas for features or functionality that would make your workflow easier, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the Musosoup team.

Promotions

The Promotions section is where you create and manage everything you offer to artists.

Think of this area as your product catalogue. Promotions are built in two layers: Promos are individual, deliverable pieces of work, such as a review, social post, or playlist placement. are collections of one or more promos and are what make up the final promotion that you offer to artists or list on the marketplace.

You use bundles when sending offers to artists and when listing promotions in the marketplace.

PROMOS TAB

The Promos tab is where you view, manage, and create individual promos.

Each promo is listed with key information including: promo type, price, and status.

Promo statuses are:

  • Active: Promos that are approved and available to use in bundles
  • Pending: Promos currently under review by the Musosoup team. New promos are usually reviewed within 24 hours
  • Declined: Promos that have been declined, typically due to incorrect information, inappropriate pricing, or an unsuitable promo type
Promo Statuses
Promo Statuses

Clicking into a promo shows full details, including the description, pricing, example links, and which bundles the promo is included in. From here, you can edit or delete the promo. You can also create new promos directly from this tab.

BUNDLES TAB

The Bundles tab is where you view, manage, and create bundles.

Bundles are made up of one or more promos and represent the actual offers artists see. You can create as many bundles as you like using any combination of your promos.

Each bundle is listed with key information including the bundle name, associated publication, status, and number of purchases, which can help you understand what is performing well.

Bundle statuses are:

  • Active: Bundles that can be used in offers or are listed on the marketplace
  • Archived: Bundles that are no longer in use but can be reactivated at any time

Clicking into a bundle shows full details, including included promos, pricing, and controls to edit, delete, or hide the bundle from the marketplace if you no longer want it publicly listed.

Playlists

The Playlists section is where you connect your Spotify account and manage playlists used for playlist placement promo types.

Spotify playlist placements are one of the most popular free alternative options on Musosoup. Every offer must include a free alternative, and playlists are a highly scalable and time efficient way to provide value to artists.

By connecting your Spotify account, playlist placements included in promos are handled automatically, saving time and ensuring accuracy.

When you first visit this page, click Request Token to start the Spotify integration process. This only takes a few minutes.

Once connected, you will see all your playlists with thumbnails, names, and direct links. From here, you can remove playlists you do not want to use on Musosoup or refresh playlists that have been updated.

Marketplace

The Marketplace is where artists browse and request promotions.

Instead of you approaching artists with offers, the marketplace allows artists to come to you. It includes a wide range of curators and services, from blogs and influencers to industry professionals and agencies.

As a curator, you cannot purchase from the marketplace, but you can view it to see how artists experience the platform, view your public curator and publication profiles, see your feedback tags and publication badges, get inspiration for bundles and pricing, and understand what other curators are offering.

Exploring the marketplace is a useful way to refine your offering and spot opportunities to expand or differentiate.
